The bad feeling in the back of my mind began to intensify as a HUD came into focus in my view, sure enough I could see a Life Bar in the upper left hand corner along with a name. It looked like something you'd see a bunch of newbies wear in an MMORPG.uh oh. Weird, there were a bunch of green crystals floating above their heads when I looked closer. They carried a variety of weapons, mostly swords and daggers, along with color coordinated basic uniforms. They were all shapes and sizes, young adult men and women along with others who looked to be more the teenage age. This place felt vaguely familiar, tickling the back of my mind as I took in the groups of people coming and going. The stall I was sitting in was on the outerside of a large plaza, which had what looked like a stone monument in the center topped by a small tower like object that had a clock on it. Glancing around I took in the sights, it was a bustling town, the building design almost European. My alarm levels continued to grow as the strangeness of the situation woke me up right on quick. Wait a damn minute, this isn't my room! Why the hell am I sleeping sitting down on a stool at an outdoor stall in the middle of a town! I stretched and wiped my eyes as I blearily took in my surroundings. Oh who am I kidding I don't have the money for that. Maybe it's high past time I splurged on a new bed.

Speaking of stiff, I couldn't figure out why I was so stiff this morning. Still time for another day in the life of a working stiff.

Maybe if I didn't spend so much time on Spacebattles I'd stop staying up so damn late. Getting up at 4am on days I'm due to go to work would be more bearable if it wasn't for my lamentable addiction to the Internet and my inability to know when to stop and go to bed properly.Ĭurse you Internet and your whispered lies! Waking up in the morning has always been a chore for me.
